Just The Genes...
Though I have only just begun my search, I feel that I have made much progress.
Why bother? Well, I am sooo glad that you asked.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself:
My mother is a beautiful person. She gave birth to me when she was only 18, not to mention that she was unwed. She raised me by herself (and did a great job too!) When she gave birth to me, she had just moved back home to live with her mom and step-dad. About a year after I was born my mom married a man who allowed her to name him as my father.
Well, to make a long story short, he isn't my father, my real father doesn't know I even exist. But everytime that I try to talk to my mom about it all, she just starts to cry. I don't want to hurt her, she has been through enough already, but don't I deserve to know the truth? Well, that is why I am studying genealogy. What else can a girl my age do?
